Developing the Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Project Website: A Developer's Perspective

In 2023, I had the privilege of collaborating with the Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Project, an initiative harnessing the potential of the Chepe Khola, a tributary of the Marsyandi River in Nepal. The project aims to generate 8.836 MW of electricity, contributing to the nation's renewable energy capacity. My role was to develop a website that would effectively communicate the project's objectives, progress, and impact.

Understanding the Project

The Doodhpokhari Chepe Hydropower Project is situated in the Gorkha District, where the Chepe Khola originates from the pristine waters of the Doodhpokhari Glacier Lake. This run-of-the-river scheme is designed to provide sustainable electricity to the national grid, supporting Nepal's energy needs and promoting environmental conservation.

Design and Structure

To align with the project's goals, the website was structured with several key sections:

Outcome
